You will find Villa Magni overlooking the sea on the promenade of San Terenzo , connecting the village with Lerici . The building is hard to miss with its whitewashed beauty and arched colonnade.

The Magni house was built in the XVI century and originated as part of a monastery of the Barnabite priests. Originally the villa was sitting directly at the sea, until 1888, when the then owner Marquis Ollandini built the present road – San Terenzo Promenade.

Throughout the centuries the Villa was a sought after residence by noble families and thus changed ownership many times.

The villa was also famously the residence of Percy Bysshe Shelley and his wife Mary Shelley, author of the famous novel "Frankenstein" in the 1800s. And nowadays, you will find reminders of the impression the area had on them...

The park of the Villa affectionately referred by locals as 'Shelleys Park' is currently used for several local events and also as an outdoor movie venue during the summer months.
