Should we visit Cinque Terre in November

I am writing to ask: Would you recommend visiting Cinque Terre in November?
November is the only time my family and I can visit.
Any info would help.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
Even though the month of November is out of season for
the Cinque Terre, I wouldn't necessary outright recommend not to visit the villages this time of the year. You just need to be realistic as to what you will be able to do in November.
For example, there will be no ferry links between the Cinque Terre and the nearby towns in November due to weather conditions so you will not be able to arrive in the five villages by boat (which is lovely to do in the summer months), but rather you will opt to take the train to arrive.
I would also recommend that you pick a nice, sunny day to visit which you definitely can get these in November. Just wrap up warm as it can get windy in the winter with the sea winds but the views are spectacular.
It will be lovely to just wonder around the villages and enjoy the scenery with no massive crowds around too. There will be restaurants and some shops opened this time of the year.
If you are planning to do some hiking, be aware that it is likely that not all paths will be accessible. And I would strongly recommend that you check the status of the paths on the day to see which are opened/closed at :
Parco Nazionale 5Terre I hope the above information is helpful in planning your visit and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Best regards,
Irina
