Dear sirs,

I am travelling from Pisa to Genova on a Sunday morning using the railway. I am not pressed & wish to enjoy my travel.

What train should I take to have the best views of the coast and the villages along it? Should I take the Intercity, the FRECCIABIANCA or the Regionale?

Thank you

Hello Michael,

All three train options go along the same route from Pisa to Genova. The difference between 'Intercity' and 'Frecciabianca' is that the 'Frecciabianca' is an express train and makes only about 3 stops between the two towns while the 'Intercity' stops in about 13 towns along the way.

Hence, if you are not pressed for time and want to enjoy the beauty of the region along the way, I would suggest you go with the 'Intercity' train. The journey is slightly longer in time but you have the chance to sit back and enjoy the scenery...

I would not recommend to take the 'Regionale' train as it is not direct and requires to change a train at La Spezia Train Station .

I hope this helps and all the best,

Gianfranco
