Travel to Levanto by Car - Main Motorways Links

S.S. n.1 via Aurelia

Similarly to the approach to Deiva Marina, Via Aurelia offers yet another a stunning approach the town of Levanto. It takes you on a gradual journey on a winding road coming down towards the sea. The road is characterised by a series of sharp bends making you go slowly while basking in the spectacular snapshots of the emarald-green hills and the perched villages that get revealed over the valley until you finally find yourself close to the sea.

Travel to Levanto by Train

It you are planning to travel to Levanto by train, you can take the regional rail service line La Spezia - Genoa from the central railway station of La Spezia - a journey which takes about 20 mins.

In addition, there is a direct Intercity train connecting Levanto with Milan.

Travel to Levanto by Air


If you are arriving to Liguria by plane, you will find that flying to Cristoforo Colombo International airport in Genoa is the most convenient option as it is the closest airport to Levanto (55 miles / 90km away) and the main airport serving Liguria .

Almost as close is the Pisa International Airport - Galileo Galilei which is about 62 miles (100km) away from Levanto.

Pisa Airport is directly connected to the Italian Railway Network.The railway terminal is located just outside the departure hall and is connected to Pisa Central Station by a direct train service. At the Airport, you can buy your railway ticket at the information office in the arrivals hall.

Travel to Levanto by Sea


The other way of getting to Levanto and around Liguria is by ferry — which has the added advantage of allowing you to see the stunning west Ligurian coastline from a distance.

Consorzio Marittimo Turistico – '5 Terre, Golfo dei Poeti' runs ferry services connecting Levanto with Portofino, Portovenere and the Cinque Terre villages.
