Jan 31 and Feb 2, 2010 - Carnivale Dei Figli di Bocco

On 31 January and 7 February in Castiglion Fibocchi, a town near Arezzo, will take place the 14th edition of the Carnevale dei Figli di Bocco (Figli di Bocco Carnival). Castiglion Fibocchi is situated along the Roman road called Cassia Vetus, near the mountain of Pratomagno: a characteristic town dating back to the medieval period, exactly to the XII century.

This carnival is an old event, when the participants wear fabulous baroque costumes and artistic paper-pulp masks. The carnival of Castiglion Fibocchi has been often compared with
the Venice Carnival.
