La Spezia has created an interesting and well-organized museum system including a range of pleasurable visits, from archaeological to modern art, providing one of many reasons to spend time here and discover the arts and culture of La Spezia.

And what better time to do that than the month of January 2011 when the Tourism Department and the Institution for Cultural Services of the Municipality of La Spezia, in collaboration with the Tourism Department of the Province of La Spezia invite anyone staying in an accommodation in the town of La Spezia, which has endorsed the initiative, to enjoy free access to the city museums.

The museums participating in the initiative are:
Museo Civico "Amedeo Lia",
Museum of the Castle of St. George,
SEALS MUSEUM and L.R.Rosaia Art Gallery,
Cameco - Center for Modern and Contemporary Art,
Diocesan Museum - Museum of Ethnography and
the Naval Museum.
