The Carnival of Cento is the first carnival in the world to be affiliated with the Rio Carnival, twinning officially in Cento in 1993.

Cento is a town near Ferrara in Emilia-Romagna and every Sunday between February 13 to March 13, 2011 it will host many famous guest stars from the world of culture, sport, entertainment as well as beautiful floats in papier-mache and lots of fun. The grand final of the carnival is on March 13th.
