Valentine’s Day…Lovers in Camogli

Events Italy - San Valentino…Innamorati a Camogli

For many years now Camogli organises a festival closely connected to the romantic celebration. The highlight of the event is the plate painting competition called ‘Piatto di San Valentino…Innamorati a Camogli’ where the public vote combined with the vote from a jury panel select the most beautiful of all the entries of pained plates displayed along the seafront in Camogli.

The plates that took part in earlier editions of the festival can be bought from a stand near the seafront as well as hearts on which you can write your and your partner’s name and hang them on a fishing net laid out in the harbour.

During the festival many of the local restaurants offer special dinner-for-two menu including a bottle of Champagne and special dish to mark the occasion.
