The B&B Antico Glicine is located near La Serra , on the hills overlooking the town of Lerici . The building of the B&B was built at the end of 1700, in typical Etruscan style. It has a rich history and has hosted several illustrious guests during the centuries. Many architectural details such as plaster friezes and bas-reliefs are preserved to date and suggest that the house was inhabited by an alchemist in the past. Later, the Naples’ famous actor Count Antonio De Curtis aka Toto loved to stay at the villa. It was also inhabited by the Italian painter Caselli, much appreciation for his harbor paintings. Nowadays, the villa offers three bedrooms for a comfortable stay which can be rented separately.

The villa has a breathtaking view over Lerici and its castle , and the three islands of the Gulf ( Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto ) and the ancient town of Portovenere . On a clear day, the eyes can even go up the coast of Corsica. The B&B is just over a mile from Lerici , which can be reached on foot walking the paths leading to town among the olive trees. There is also a regular bus service during the summer months running until 1 am at night . Conveniently, the bus stops in both directions are right infront of the B&B. If you are coming with your own car, there is a parking area a few meters from the villa.

The first floor also gives access to the terrace of the villa which affords breathtaking views over the Gulf. On request the owners can arrange romantic dinners, or for you to enjoy cocktails and local wines served on the terrace or garden of the villa. The breakfast is also served on the terrance or the garden and consists of seelction of tea, coffee, fuit juices and homenade pastries and focaccia.
